Dinant by Julia

 Hi everyone!

I just heard that my aunt's hometown, Dinant, was voted the most beautiful to live in Belgium. Dinant is a small town located on the border with France, on the Moza River. It's such an incredible place to live. For most people, Dinant is a famous for its little streets, cafes and ice cream shop, and very friendly people. I really like that it is a lovely place where all people can find something interesting for them.

The most popular attractions are:

  • Dinant Citadel ( This is Medieval fortress and museum, is located in the Walloon city of Dinant in the province of Namur. The fort was built in 1815, when the region was ruled by the Liège family.)

  •  Lesse (Hiking trail along the Moza River)

  • Notre Dame de Dinant (Is a 13th-century Gothic cathedral in Dinant, a city in Walloon, on the banks of the River Meuse. The cathedral church replaced a 10th-century Romanesque church which collapsed in 1228, leaving only the North door. )

  • Charles de Gaulle Bridge (Is the bridge that connects the eastern end of the island of Montreal across the River Rivière des Prairies with the Lanaudière region near the city of Charlemagne. The bridge is named after French President Charles de Gaulle)

  • Ile d'Yvoir (It is a Belgian island located on the river Meuse It is 400 m long and 100 m wide, and is cut in half by a small channel. performs tourist functions. the northern part is a park, while the southern part is intended for recreation.)

And much more attractions (But these are the ones, I visited). I spent time there with my family. We visited all the attractions, swam on the Moza River, and ate pancakes in one of the restaurants. If you haven't been to Dinant town yet, you must come. it's so amazing that you won't want to go back home.

That’s all for now!

Bye!
